Blade
Terminals-Loose: Solid State Stamping manufacturers a large variety of
blade terminals supplied loose. The sizes range from 1.0 mm x 0.64 mm terminals
to 6.3 mm x 0.82 mm terminals or larger if needed. Terminals can be supplied
straight or bent. Pictured here is one example. The two small extensions are
for soldering into two holes of a PC board.
Blade Terminals on Strip: Blade terminals can also be provided on continuous
strip. The 1.5 mm wide blade terminals pictured below are manufactured on
continuous strip. The smaller end is plated for soldering into the hole of
a PC board. Also shown below are 4.8 mm wide blade terminals.
Specialty Blade Terminals: Solid State Stamping manufactures a variety
of specialty terminals. This specialty blade terminal pictured has a solder
tip (the small end) designed to accommodate some flexibility or movement.
The contact end (lower end in photo) is a 2.8 mm wide blade terminal.
This long slender specialty blade terminal in the picture below is post-plated
and provided loose for use in an automotive ABS brake module.
Blade Terminals on Bandolier: Solid State Stamping also manufactures
blade terminals on bandoliers . The terminals are made from rectangular wire,
with the advantages being low scrap of raw material and smooth terminal edges.
Parts can be supplied on the terminal progression to match the connector terminal
spacing with no waste of material. Terminals can be made from pre-plated rectangular
wire or they can be post-plated after stamping.
