Frame with Aluminum Inlays: Solid
State Stamping manufactures lead frames with aluminum inlays for insert-molded
control modules. The frames can be supplied loose or on a continuous strip
on reels. These parts are made with special precautions so that the aluminum
surfaces are clean for wire bonding applications.
Multi-Thickness Strip Stamping: The strip stamping picture below has
two thicknesses -- one for the 0.80 mm blade terminal thickness and a reduced
thickness section for very small connector strips that are later bonded to
a hybrid electronic chip. This design is used in a pressure sensor for automotive
applications.
